You ask, we answer.
Here are some common questions people might ask about your photo and video editing process:
Coverage Hours
1. Nikah Ceremony (4-5 Hours Coverage)
The Nikah Ceremony is the official wedding solemnization recognized by religion and law. It is a simpler yet deeply meaningful event as it marks the sacred union of two hearts. This ceremony is usually held at a mosque, surau, the bride’s home, or a hall.📸 Coverage includes:
✔️ Brief bridal preparation (if applicable)
✔️ Groom’s arrival with the wali (guardian) & witnesses
✔️ Nikah proceedings (Ijab Kabul, marriage vows, prayer recitation)
✔️ Ring exchange
✔️ Family & guest portraits
✔️ Couple’s portrait session
2. Sanding Ceremony (5-6 Hours Coverage)
The Reception Ceremony is more lively and festive as it serves as the wedding reception where the newlyweds are celebrated by family, relatives, and invited guests. This event is typically held at a home, hall, or hotel, depending on the couple’s budget and chosen theme.📸 Coverage includes:
✔️ Bride and groom preparation before the event - 2 hour before event
✔️ Couple’s arrival & grand welcome (kompang, silat, or special performances)
✔️ Entrance procession to the wedding dais (pelamin)
✔️ Traditional customs – blessing ceremony (tepung tawar), rice shower (tabur beras kunyit), rose water sprinkling (renjis air mawar) (depending on family traditions)
✔️ Dining session, speeches & cake-cutting
✔️ Group photography with family & guests
✔️ Couple’s portrait session
✔️ Outdoor photoshoot session
3. Why is the Coverage Different?
✔️ The Nikah Ceremony is more formal and shorter, so a 4-5 hour coverage is sufficient to capture all the important moments.
✔️ The Sanding Ceremony is longer and more festive, which is why a 5-6 hour coverage is needed to document the entire event properly. If clients want both events to be fully captured without feeling rushed, they can consider the Nikah + Sanding Package for extended coverage.
4. When Should You Add a Second Photographer/Videographer?
✔️ A large wedding with more than 500 guests
✔️ Events taking place at two different locations
✔️ You want more variety in your wedding photos
✔️ Multiple traditions & activities happening simultaneously
Client Explanation Script
Client: I think one photographer is enough. Why should I add a second photographer? You: That’s a great question! One photographer can definitely capture key moments, but having a second photographer ensures a more complete coverage and a smoother experience. Here are some key reasons why a second photographer is highly beneficial:
1️⃣ Complete Coverage, No Missed Moments
➡️ With just one photographer, they can only focus on one area at a time.
➡️ Example: During the Nikah ceremony, the main photographer will be capturing the groom and wali (guardian). But what about the bride’s emotions, the parents' reactions, or the guests tearing up? A second photographer ensures these priceless moments are also captured!2️⃣ Two Different Angles for Key Moments
➡️ At the Sanding (reception), imagine your grand entrance with the kompang (traditional drums). The main photographer will focus on you, but what about the reactions of your parents, family, and guests? The second photographer will capture all these emotions from a different angle.
➡️ The same goes for the dining session. One photographer can focus on the couple, while the second captures the candid moments of guests interacting and enjoying the celebration.3️⃣ A More Organized & Efficient Event
➡️ During family & group photos, a second photographer can help coordinate and speed up the process, so you don’t spend too much time waiting.
➡️ If the bride and groom are getting ready at separate locations, two photographers ensure both preparations are covered at the same time without rushing.4️⃣ Higher Quality & More Exclusive Wedding Photos
➡️ You’ll get more photo variety, with different angles and styles, making your wedding album more dynamic and visually stunning.
➡️ More candid and spontaneous moments are captured since two photographers can focus on different aspects of the event simultaneously.📢 If you want a more complete and stress-free coverage of your big day, I highly recommend adding a second photographer. This ensures that every special moment is beautifully documented, without worrying about anything being missed.
Photo
A common question from clients:
Is one photographer enough to cover the entire event, or should we consider adding another photographer?
If the client wants candid shots, specific family photos, and key moments captured, adding another photographer is recommended. While one photographer can cover the entire event, their primary focus will be on the couple and details of the venue, with family and guest shots taken more randomly.
